Springline provided construction-phase contaminated land support and validation for the remediation of a former industrial site being prepared for redevelopment.

The works involved the targeted removal of significantly contaminated soils and historic waste materials, while allowing lower-risk material to be safely retained and managed on site.

Springline provided SQEP oversight, field screening, validation sampling and practical advice throughout the works, adapting the remediation approach as unexpected contamination was encountered.

The project demonstrates how a practical, risk-based approach can manage legacy contamination while avoiding unnecessary excavation and disposal.
